Alyson Fitzgerald, DVM, DACVECC
Dr. Fitzgerald grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She went on to do her undergraduate training in Animal Science at Utah State University. She received her DVM degree from Kansas State University and completed a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Colorado. She completed her Emergency and Critical Care residency at North Carolina State University. Some of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are providing high quality patient care, using critical problem solving, performing procedures, and working through complex physiology. In her free time, she enjoys working out at solidcore, exploring the DC food scene and spending time with her husband and two dogs, Daisy and Walter. Her clinical interests include toxicology, extracorporeal therapies, electrolyte derangements and mechanical ventilation.
