Andrea Miranda Merly, DVM, MS, DACVR
Dr. Merly was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she further developed a strong foundation in advanced clinical care.
Dr. Miranda Merly went on to complete a residency in veterinary diagnostic imaging at Auburn University. She is currently a board-certified veterinary radiologist (DACVR), with special professional interests in ultrasonography, cross-sectional imaging, and fluoroscopy.
Outside of her professional career, Dr. Miranda Merly enjoys spending time with her husband, Ricardo, who is a board-certified emergency and critical care veterinarian, and their two beautiful daughters, Valentina and Isabella. She also enjoys time with her horse, Romeo, and stays active through CrossFit and weightlifting. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, outdoor activities including hiking and rock climbing, traveling around the world, and visiting her family in Puerto Rico
