Meghan Vaught, DVM, DACVECC
Dr. Meghan Vaught is a board-certified specialist in Emergency and Critical Care with a passion for supporting veterinarians in managing complex and high-stakes cases. She earned her DVM from St. George’s University, completing her clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. She went on to complete a rotating internship at Tufts VETS, followed by a three-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care at Tufts University. In 2017, she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
As a consultant with DVM STAT, Dr. Vaught provides real-time, case-based support to veterinary teams navigating critical care challenges. Her clinical interests include respiratory disease, mechanical ventilation, polytrauma, toxicities, acute kidney injury, coagulopathies, and sepsis. She brings a thoughtful, ultrasound-forward approach to case assessment and decision-making, with advanced training in focused echocardiography and diagnostic ultrasound.
Dr. Vaught is deeply committed to ensuring pets receive high-level, compassionate care when they need it most. Through DVM STAT, she helps primary and emergency veterinarians feel confident and supported, so pet families can feel the same.
